Our History
An Overview
The Alumni Family of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, known as KAMI UMN (Keluarga Alumni Universitas Multimedia Nusantara), was officially established on February 23, 2013. Initiated by UMN, this organization was formed to unite its graduates both across Indonesia and abroad. KAMI UMN aims to strengthen connections among alumni as well as between alumni and their alma mater. Demonstrating its commitment, KAMI UMN was formally registered as an organization on February 24, 2015, with its founding deed signed by Bonaventura Aditya, the first Chairman of KAMI UMN.
KAMI UMN consistently organizes various activities to empower alumni by enhancing their competencies, expanding professional networks, and encouraging meaningful contributions. Key programs include KAMI Skill Update and KAMI Industrial Insight, which focus on professional development. Networking is fostered through alumni gatherings and reunions, while the dissemination of newsletters and bulletins provides updates on UMN and its alumni activities. Alumni are also encouraged to contribute through activities such as Alumni Sharing, offering scholarships to underprivileged students, and engaging in other impactful initiatives.
Currently in its 4th generation of leadership, KAMI UMN is led by President Director Jesica Tifany, S.I.Kom., alongside:
- Vice President of Corporate Affairs: Edwin Rahardjo Soegondo, S.E., M.M.
- Vice President of Marketing Communications: Nicko Purnomo, S.I.Kom.
This 4th generation is committed to strengthening KAMI UMN’s presence as a unifying platform for alumni across generations—fostering a strong sense of kinship, collaboration, synergy, inspiration, and empowerment. Through active contributions and engagement, KAMI UMN seeks to fortify connections among alumni, students, and the university, while upholding UMN’s reputation through impactful contributions to society.
Objectives of KAMI UMN :
- To instill a sense of belonging among final-year students towards KAMI UMN, encouraging a stronger emotional connection with the university, a sense of pride, and an aspiration to actively engage in the alumni community while empowering fellow members.
- To strengthen relationships among alumni, students, and the university through social, educational, and inspirational activities—both formal and informal—by building intergenerational and interdisciplinary networks through digital platforms, communities, and collaborative initiatives.
